Tonight in Erfurt, Yoan Pablo Hernandez looks to make the fourth successful defense of his IBF cruiserweight crown when he meets #13 ranked Firat Arslan.

Hernandez, (28-1, 14 knockouts) stopped former Russian amateur standout Alexander Alexeev in his last performance nine months ago. The 29-year-old was due to defend his title earlier this year before a viral condition curtailed those plans. Now the Cuban ex-patriot is well and ready to defend his title.

The role of challenger is something Arslan (34-7-2, 21 KO’s) is accustomed to having twice fought WBO boss Marco Huck in the past couple of years. The German southpaw, held the WBA strap from 2007 until 2008. However at 43 the hard charging pressure fighter must feel this opportunity to win a second world title may well be his last.

Here’s a Tale of the Tape graphic of each combatant.
