WBC super bantamweight world champion, Yamileth "Yeimi" Mercado, made a successful fourth defense of her title, overcoming veteran Mariana "Barbie" Juarez by a wide and well-worked unanimous decision victory, in the main event of the show they presented Zanfer and 2M Promotions in the studios of Azteca 7 in Mexico City.

“Yeimi” Mercado (20-3, 5 KO’s) allowed her rival to come forward, to catch her with combinations and in each round, even in the close ones, she landed the best shots.

Juarez (55-12-4, 19 KO's) was persistent and brave. She brought out her experience and sought to bring the world champion to the ropes, but her intensity dropped in the second half of the fight, and her face began to show the effects of the fight from the sixth round, with both cheekbones swelling.

Mercado boxed effectively backwards and sideways, her left hooks to the face of Juarez and her long straight right sent her back and even staggered her in several rounds.

Juarez had some good moments, but she lacked repeated power shots and every time she landed a power shot, "Yeimi" responded right back.

With the champion dominating in the ring, the victory was unanimously determined by the judges in favor of Mercado, with scores of 98-92 and two cards 97-93.
