Three weeks ago, former cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk beat experienced journeyman Konstantin Semerdjiev and scored his first win in 19 months. After the bout, the Polish fighter seemed like he did not realize he had gone so long without picking up another official win on his record.

"Time is running fast now. It has been over a year and a half since my last win although I have not lost [a fight] since a long time. I did not show my full potential in this fight. I could not find the right rhythm. The power was there but I was not fully happy with my speed. I have to work on that." - said Polish fighter after earning his first decision win since November 2006 when he beat Steve Cunningham for the world. Wlodarczyk lost his belt in an immediate rematch. Since than he scored four knockout wins over low class opponents, made it through a seventh episode of Dancing with the Stars, and after an eleven month layoff he  earned a controversial draw with Giacobe Fragomeni. Beating Semerdjiev was only a tune-up before another title shot. The Polish cruiserwieght is the mandatory challenger for newly crowned WBC champion Zsolt Erdei and can't wait to get in the ring with Hungarian undefeated star.

"Erdei was a great fighter but now he is done physically. He lost his fight with Fragomeni in my eyes. I scored it 8-4 for Italian. Erdei won first three rounds in this fight be he was gased after that. Cruiserweight is not his best weight. He wouldn't last the full distance with me. Erdei was getting hit a lot with Fragomeni, but the Italian doesn't have any punching power. It is completly different to deal with my power" - said Wlodarczyk. It is still not clear whether Erdei will stay at 200-pounds or he will move back to the light heavyweight division. If Hungarian decides to vacate his title, Wlodarczyk will probably meet Giacobe Fragomeni or Herbie Hide.

"I don't really care who will be my opponent. If I will be fully prepared, there is no difference between Erdei, Fragomeni or Hide. I will beat any of them." - stated the Polish former champion.
