BoxingScene.com had a chance to catch up with former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and get his thoughts on Chris Byrd, possible opponent Danny Williams and his boxing future.

BoxingScene: We havent seen you since your fight last year with DaVarryl Williamson, how have you been?

Klitschko: I'm very good thank you. I'm staying in shape and training hard.

BoxingScene: It appears that a potential fight with Chris Byrd has fallen apart, do you think Byrd was ducking this rematch or were there other problems?

Klitschko: I don't know, maybe Chris Byrd has problems with Don King or maybe he doesnt want to take the fight. I was looking forward to fighting Chris Byrd again. I don't know what will happen now in the future.

BoxingScene: Are there any potential opponents out there that you want to fight?

Klitschko: Right now I don't know, I just want some good fights and get back to the top. My last fight was a good win and showed that I am still a good fighter and answered a lot of questions. My performance could have been better. In my next fight I will perform better. I have to focus on my career in boxing and move it forward, I know that I can be back to the same point where my career was before my defeat to Corrie Sanders.

BoxingScene: Are you looking to avenge your losses? A possible rematch with Lamon Brewster perhaps?

Klitschko: I want to avenge my losses and I want one day for a rematch to be made. I learn from my mistakes and know that I can come back to win (the rematch).

BoxingScene: Do you think that your current inactivity hurts your career?

Klitschko: Yes, I want to be more active and have more fights, but problems with making fights and legal troubles with promoters have come in the way of keeping myself more active. I know that I have to keep fighting and having good victories to get another

BoxingScene: Do you feel that now that you have been beaten twice, to fight you is even more dangerous then ever? Some fighters look at a potential fight with you as a no-win situation because of the label given to you as a shot fighter.

Klitschko: A heavyweight fight is always a dangerous fight because one punch can end a fight. I answered some questions in my last fight and showed that I still have the ability to be the best.

BoxingScene: Talks have taken place to put together a fight between you and Danny Williams, is that a potential fight for you?

Klitschko: Danny Williams is a very good fighter with a big heart, he would be a great opponent for me. It would be a very big fight in Europe.
