Hall of Famer and former undisputed junior middleweight world champion, Winky Wright, backs WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) to defeat IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs).

Joshua vs. Wilder is one of the biggest fights to make in the sport - and many view it as the biggest.

The two world champions were in deep discussions to face each other in the fall, but their negotiations were never finalized - as both sides were unable to reach a full agreement on the terms.

With the two champions going in different directions in the fall, the current scenario has them potentially facing each other in April, at Wembley in London.

Wright is not ruling out the possibility of a Joshua win - but he's backing Wilder to win - and he believes there are certain attributes that give Wilder the edge to win.

"I think both fighters are good fighters, I just think Wilder is a little bit more athletic, a little bit more elusive. That right hand is dangerous, he just can’t depend on that right hand all the time, he’s got to get in there and mix it up. Joshua can mix it up and he’s a big boy with a good punch himself, but I definitely like Wilder," Wright told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

And Wright is not expecting the contest to go the distance.

Both boxers have been hurt in the past, and both were able to recover to secure the knockout win.

"I don’t think [it goes the distance], unless one of them gets hurt and runs, which I don’t see. I don’t see Wilder doing it and I don’t see Joshua doing it, especially after he fought Klitschko. He got hurt, got up, moved around a little bit and then went back in throwing his bombs. We know both fighters can be hurt, we know both fighters have the will to come back and win. Now we just need to see both fighters get in there and prove who is the best," Wright said.
