WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is not that happy with Tyson Fury marketing himself as a "heavyweight champion" in the ongoing run in WWE [World Wrestling Entertainment].

Fury has been involved in several televised angles with WWE superstar Braun Strowman.

Fury and Strowman are scheduled to take part in a pro wrestling match on October 31, at WWE's Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.

Wilder is scheduled to make a voluntary defense against Luis Ortiz in a rematch on November 23rd at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Should Wilder win, he would then move forward with a rematch against Fury in February 2020. They fought to a controversial draw back in December 2018.

But Wilder is not recognizing Fury's claim of being a "lineal" world champion.

“I saw him in the WWE,” Wilder told The Independent. “I thought it was hilarious and I liked how the other wrestler told him he was going to be left on his back looking up at the lights just like Deontay Wilder did him.

“It’s exciting times in the heavyweight division and you can tell the WWE understand, they understand what’s going on. But it was laughable that Tyson Fury described himself as the heavyweight champion of the world, they need to cut that bullsh*t out. Tyson, you are not the heavyweight champion of the world, you are just in the top 10.

“He talks about this lineal stuff but that don’t mean nothing. I ain’t ever seen a 12-round fight with no title, no belt. You say you’re the champ but it’s an invisible belt, we can’t see nothing.

“But the heavyweight division is so amazing right now, so exciting and I’m so happy to put my little percentage in and make it so great. I remember the time when it was in a dark tunnel, there was nothing exciting going on, it was kinda boring. Now it’s just amazing and I’m happy to be part of that.”
