British heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte believes that he can get the job done in a rematch with IBF, IBO, WBA world champion Anthony Joshua.

In the fall of 2015, Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs) overcame some rocky moments to stop Whyte in the seventh round.

The TKO defeat is still the only blemish on Whyte's record.

This past April, Joshua became the top dog of the division when he stopped former heavyweight ruler Wladimir Klitschko in eleven rounds before a record crowd of 90,000 fans at Wembley in London.

Whyte is set to make his American debut this coming Saturday, when he faces Malcolm Tann on the undercard of Terence Crawford's super-lightweight unification clash with Julius Indongo in Nebraska.

According to Whyte, his domestic rival is still talking him down in every possible interview.

"Anthony Joshua talks a lot of rubbish," Whyte told Sky Sports. "He tries to pretend to be this bad, aggressive man whenever my name is mentioned, but he's not that way inclined.

"For me it's good. The worst thing in sport is not to be talked about, but my name is being mentioned with all the top heavyweights in the world. He's world champion and he's calling my name, so I'll take it as a privilege that the world champion is calling me out. I'm happy about that."

In the win over Klitschko, Joshua was dropped hard in the sixth round and showed some vulnerabilities. He was able to rally in the championship rounds to score two knockdowns to put Klitschko away in the eleventh.

Whyte feels that he can replicate some of the tactics used by Klitschko, to expose Joshua in a second outing.

"Fight him again it will be a different story," said Whyte. "He's shown that he's vulnerable when he gets put under pressure. You have to keep the pressure on him. It makes it a lot easier being there once and doing it on the big stage now. I believe I'm ready now for these big fights. Everyone thinks that these guys are gods and they're invincible. They are not invincible."

Joshua is likely coming back on a date in November, in a mandatory defense of the IBF title against Kubrat Pulev. He then has to make a mandatory defense of the WBA title against Luis Ortiz.
