A rematch between former world champions, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai of Thailand and Carlos Cuadras of Mexico, is still on pace to take place for the vacant World Boxing Council super flyweight title on February 5 at a venue to be announced in the United States.

Cuadras won first time around in 2014 by technical decision in a competitive fight, so the rematch is keenly anticipated. The winner will move ahead to a clash with the victor of the trilogy between Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez and Juan Francisco Estrada. The loser will head to the back of the line.

Pursuant to the contracted rules under the World Boxing Council, both boxers have to take part in mandatory pre-fight weight checks.

Both fighters submitted their 30-day pre-weight checks to be in compliance with the sanctioning body.

Cuadras weighed in at 57.2 KG (125.1 pounds), while Sor Rungvisai registered 57 KG (125.6 pounds).

William Boodhoo, the WBC's Chairman of the Safety Compliance Committee, is responsible for monitoring weighing and medical requirements.
