UPDATE: 

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Brian Vera both came within the modified 173 lb. catchweight for their main event Saturday evening in Carson, California. 

Chavez Jr. tipped the scales at 172.4 lb; Vera was slightly lighter at 171.2 lb.
