SAN DIEGO, CA – WealthTV and KO Kings Promotions today announced that they have signed an agreement for the live telecast of the WBC Continental Americas Lightweight title bout scheduled for March 17, 2012 to air exclusively on WealthTV.

Undefeated fighters Chris “Hurricane” Howard (14-0) will battle Arash Usnamee (16-0) for the vacant WBC Championship title. The evening of world class boxing, billed as “Undefeated Warriors from Around the World” will feature four undefeated fighters.

The co-main event will feature Mike “Cannon Handz” Seals (8-0) vs. Robbie Tovar (15-6) for the IBS Jr. National Cruiserweight Title. The undefeated Seals has been touted as one of the best up-and-coming Cruiserweight prospects in boxing. “Undefeated Warriors from Around the World” will take place at the Grand Ball Room in Norcross, Georgia. WealthTV’s live coverage will also include former 2008 Nigerian Olympian Olanrewaju Durodola (4-0).

According to promoter Adrian Patrick, CEO of KO Kings, “Although Chris Howard and Arash Usnamee are both undefeated, these two great warriors couldn’t be more different. Chris is from Tennessee and Arash was born in Afghanistan (now living in Montreal, Canada). Chris is only 22 years old, eight years younger than the 30-year old Arash. Their styles are different.

“Yet, many insiders state that these two fighters are so evenly matched it’s impossible to pick a winner. Both fighters are hungry for the belt. It should be one amazing evening for those who can make it to Atlanta or watch live on WealthTV.”

What was most enticing to WealthTV was the willingness of two rising unbeaten fighters willing to risk their perfect records while eyeing a future world title shot.

“It’s rare in boxing to see two undefeated fighters go toe to toe for a belt. This will be a critical turning point in their careers. One will walk away with a WBC title belt; the other will suffer his first loss in an otherwise perfect career,” stated Robert Herring, CEO of WealthTV. “Howard and Arash are at the top of their game. The boxing community seems split fifty-fifty trying to predict the victor.

“This is the type of match that we have been seeking. It’s the type of match that brings boxing fans to their feet. We’re pleased to have secured the television rights for the live and exclusive telecast on WealthTV.”

This will be the second major title fight card on WealthTV in less than five months.  In November of 2011, WealthTV, an eight year old national cable network, teamed up with Don King Promotions to air the WBC World Cruiserweight Championship featuring Guillermo Jones vs. Mike Marrone. The fight went six rounds with Jones winning a TKO and retaining his belt.

WealthTV offers its boxing events free of charge to all existing cable customers rather than as a pay per view event.

“Boxing fans are starting to realize that when it comes to world-class boxing, WealthTV is putting a stake in the ground. We’ve additional major boxing cards in the works for later this year and always looking for the next must-see main event, wherever it may be,” stated Charles Herring, president of WealthTV.

The live telecast on WealthTV will start with female boxers Nicole Woods (11-8) taking on Belinda Laracuente (25-26).  The evening of undefeated bouts is scheduled to air live on WealthTV starting at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT. WealthTV is available across the country on over 100 cable systems, including on Verizon FiOS channel 169 and 669 and AT&T U-Verse channel 470 and 1470. Tickets for the live event, “Undefeated Warriors from Around the World”, are available online at www.KOKings.net.
