Kieran Smith will join two other Scottish fighters on what is arguably the biggest stage of their careers to date.

The trio –– the others being Michael McGurk and Stephen Tiffney –– have been confirmed to be appearing on the undercard of a world title doubleheader.

Smith, 25, was last in action in Glasgow in August, alongside Tiffney, while undefeated McGurk will break a 12-month hiatus on his return.

They will all box at the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, with ITV understood to soon be announced as the broadcaster, as part of the supporting cast to the World Boxing Super Series season two card, on November 3, topped by Ryan Burnett’s bantamweight quarter-final against Nonito Donaire for the WBA Super world title and Josh Taylor’s WBC Silver title defence against undefeated American Ryan Martin in the super-lightweight division.

In other news, Savannah Marshall has been handed a second date for her diary.

The Hartlepool super-middleweight has been out since June.

Marshall will break her ring hiatus later this month –– on October 27 –– at the Arena Armeec in Sofia, Bulgaria, exclusively live on Channel 5, after being added to the supporting cast to Hughie Fury’s IBF heavyweight world title final eliminator against Kubrat Pulev.

But ‘The Silent Assassin’ won’t get chance to have time off after that fight because she will be back in the ring again less than two weeks later.

The 27-year-old will also fight on a card at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, exclusively live on iFL TV, that will be promoted by MTK Global and is set to feature the return of Brian Rose as well as Jimmy Kelly Jr., Jack Massey and Liam Conroy.

Further names for the card will be revealed in due course.
