JAKARTA, INDONESIA - The bout between WBA featherweight chmapion Chris John (41-0-1, 22 KOs) and Jackson Asiku (22-3, 12 KOs) was canceled after both fighters no-showed the weigh-in for their fight. The officials gave them two-hours to appear for the 4PM weigh-in and officially canceled the bout after neither fighter showed by 6PM.

WBA Supervisor Alan Kim told BoxingScene.com that based on the rules of the WBA, the title should be vacated.

"Based on WBA rules, if both boxers are not present for the weigh-in at 4PM and fail to show by 6PM, the title should become vacant" said Kim. "This is a very rare situation, and I heard before 6 PM, that the fight had to be postponed until November. In this kind of a situation, I will speak to all of the parties involved, and I then make a full erport to the WBA headquarters."

Kim should be hearing back from the WBA shortly on the entire situation.

In other news, Indonesian Super Bantamweight Champ, La Amir Laila retained the title after after knocking out Gun Tinular (# 4 Indonesian) in the second-round. Laila dropped Tinular to the canvas after his strong uppercut crashed on Tinular's body. Tinular went down and took the full count.

Yanus Emaury (# 2 Indonesian) successfull captured Indonesian light flyweight belt after beating Ichal Tobida by unanimous decision.The scores were 97-93, 97-93 and 97-93.

Rasmanudin defeatrf Dony Eriaray by TKO in the 2th round. Marangin Marbun beat Zoe Zapata by TKO in the 5th round.

The fights were promoted by TR Promotions and supervised by the IBA (Indonesian Boxing Association).
