According to Allboxing.ru, WBC Baltic super middleweight titleholder Maxim Vlasov (23-1, 12 KOs) will finally have the chance to collide with four-time former world title challenger Khoren Gevor (32-8, 17 KOs) on Monday, November 5, in Troitsk, a small satellite town of Moscow, known for its nuclear research facilities. The fight was first scheduled to be held on September 8 as a part of Klitschko – Charr undercard but was later called off due to promotional issues between Russian handlers of Vlasov and his American representative Artie Pellulo.

Vlasov, 26, is ranked #8 by the WBC. He is a familiar figure for American fans – thanks to his regular appearances on the ESPN FNF series, and he is also a regular sparring partner for former WBO middleweight champion Dmitry Pirog. Maxim last fought in March, dominating Germany-based Cameroonian Bernard Donfack over ten.

Gevor, 32, has fought four times for various pieces of the middleweight and super middleweight crowns. He lost via a brutal kayo in 2007 to Arthur Abraham but offered tough resistance to Felix Sturm (in 2009), to Dmitry Sartison (in 2010) and Robert Stieglitz (in 2011), though losing each fight either closely on points or via DQ. He is just 1-4 in his last five fights.

Heavyweight hopeful and 2008 Beijing Olympics super heavyweight bronze medalist Vyacheslav Glazkov (13-0, 9 KOs) is expected to see action in the co-featured bout of the evening, organized by Kirill Pchelnikov, one of the leading Russian promoters.

Another familiar name on the list is WBO #12 lightweight Alisher Rakhimov (24-1, 12 KOs). The Uzbek fighter going to clash against once-defeated Czech Michal Dufek (9-1-1, 6 KOs). Dufek suffered his first career loss on day before Rakhimov’s latest fight, losing on points to former world champion Vitaliy Tajbert over eight. This particular fight is scheduled for eight.
