Young prospects and unbeaten fighters will take the stage tonight in Oxnard, California.

Welterweight Vlad Panin will face Cristian Mino in a six-round bout at the Performing Arts Center, with first bell scheduled for 6 p.m. PT.

Panin (16-1, 9 knockouts), who is originally from Gomel, Belarus and now lives and trains in nearby Los Angeles, stopped gatekeeper Ricardo Lara of Mexico in the first round of his last bout on November 26 of last year.

The 28-year-old has won his last nine bouts since a decision defeat to Moises Fuentes in February 2020.

Mino dropped journeyman Sergio Alejandro Blanco once en route to a unanimous decision in his last bout on July 15.

The victory over Blanco took place less than two months after Mino suffered a first round knockout loss to once-beaten Manuel Jaimes. Mino (24-8-2 1 No Contest, 17 KOs), who resides in Buenos Aires, Argentina, also has knockout losses to Kenneth Sims, Jr. and to Ruben Torres.

Headlining the ‘House of Boxing’ card will be Jose Maria Delgado facing Axl Miranda Solis of Mexico City in a six-round bout contracted at 132 pounds.

Delgado (10-2-4, 4 KOs) was born in nearby Ventura and currently resides in the Northern California city of Pittsburg. In his last fight on August 19 in San Bernardino, Delgado lost a close majority decision to Oxnard resident Oscar Acevedo.

The 28-year-old, who is trained by Robert Garcia, had won his previous four fights prior to the Acevedo fight.

A large following of family members and friends of Delgado will be in attendance Saturday night. Delgado reportedly helped sell the most tickets of all the fighters on the card.

Miranda Solis (5-4-1, 4 KOs) has lost his last three fights, two of them by knockout.

In lightweight action, Rudy Ochoa (10-2-1, 5 KOs) of Oxnard attempts to break a three-fight winless streak, squaring off against Willmank Canonico Brito in a six-round bout.

Canonico Brito, who is originally from Caracas, Venezuela and now resides in Rosarito, Mexico, lost to unbeaten Lazaro Alvarez by unanimous decision in his last bout on March 10. In his previous fight on September 30, the 36-year-old (12-3-2, 10 KOs) lost by knockout to hard-hitting Eduardo Nunez on September 30 of last year.

In a clash of unbeaten light heavyweights who reside in Ventura County, Anthony Rodriguez (3-0, 3 KOs) of Ventura will face Oxnard’s John Darcy (2-0, 2 KOs) in a four-round bout.

Two more fights will round out the card co-promoted by Robert Garcia and Sam Katkovski.
