According to a report in German newspaper Stuttgarter Zeitung, WBC interim super featherweight champion Vitali Tajbert (19-1, 6KOs) was involved in a scuffle at a disco club in his hometown of Stuttgart. According to a police report (which did not confirm or deny Tajbert’s involvement) two men started to have an argument around 4am in the morning of December 27.

In the process over the verbal debate, the “27 year old” (supposedly Tajbert) knocked down his opponent. The “23 year old” was been taken to the nearest hospital with severe head injuries. His status is still said to be life-threatening. When policemen first arrived the scuffle evolved into a free-for-all and therefore more police had to be sent to the place of action. After everything was over, 3 men were injured. The breath tests given to Tajbert and his rival revealed a blood alcohol count between 0.10 and 0.15%.
