Brian Viloria will go for the flyweight championship of the WBO when he challenges Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda on July 16. If successful, could make his first defense against another tough Mexican, Giovanni Segura, the junior flyweight champion of the WBO. There has also been talk of a fight between Segura and "Pingo" Miranda, if Julio César retains his championship against Viloria. Brian, 30, has 28 wins, 3 losses and 16 knockouts. He was the IBF world champion at flyweight, and snatched the title from "Archie" Solis, and later lost the belt to Carlos Tamara. Segura last fought on April 2 in Mexicali, knocking out Ivan Caldero in three rounds.
