Former two-division world champion Mikey Garcia (34-0, 28KOs) will return to the ring for the first time since January of 2014 when he takes on Elio Rojas (24-2, 14KOs) in the co-main event of the July 30 Showtime card at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

In the main event, Leo Santa Cruz will defend his WBA featherweight world title against undefeated Carl Frampton, who is moving up in weight.

"We're getting back to where we left off," Garcia said. "The biggest challenges are next, and that's what you'll remember me for."

Garcia's brother and trainer, Robert, said "He took time off, focused on other things, and now he's got challenges and he wants to accomplish them."

The weight for the bout will be between 135 and 140 pounds.

Rojas, inactive since August of 2014, has never been stopped and lost a twelve round decision to Jhonny Gonzalez in April of 2012. He holds victories over Hector Velsaquez, Guty Espadas Jr. and Takahiuro Aoh.

Garcia was last in the ring when he dominated Juan Carlos Burgos over twelve round in New York City. Following that fight he got in a legal battle with promoter Top Rank, looking to break his contract with them, and they finally settled that dispute a few months ago.
