According to promoter Andriy Ryabinsky of World of Boxing, tickets are flying for the scheduled showdown between World Boxing Council (WBC) world champion Deontay Wilder and mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin.

Ryabinsky secured the promotional rights in February by bidding over $7 million. A few weeks later he made a decision to stage the fight at the MegaSport Arena on May 21 in Moscow, Russia.

The venue holds a max of 14,000 fans. A sold out venue is expected. Earlier today, Ryabinsky's company released the first batch of tickets and 1,000 of the best seats were picked up within six minutes time.

Povetkin had a stay-busy fight in November with a twelfth round stoppage of Polish contender Mariusz Wach.

Wilder has a record of 36 wins (35 by KO) and no losses. For his part, Povetkin has a record of 30 wins (22 by KO) and one defeat.

Besides Wilder-Povetkin, Ryaninsky is putting together a very solid undercard for the show.

The secondary main event of the evening will feature a cruiserweight unification bout between WBA champion Denis Lebedev of Russia and IBF champion Victor Ramirez of Argentina. Also as part of the card, well-known local fighters like Dmitry Bivol, Dmitry Kudryashov and Rakhim Chakhkiev will see action in separate bouts.
