(Video by Ryan Burton) - Canelo Alvarez Interview - T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas - WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) outboxed Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) in the performance of his life. 

All three judges scored 115-113. Canelo is still the undisputed champion at super middleweight.

Bivol came out jabbing in the first round. Canelo was trying to punch around his guard, but Bivol was landing the jab and letting his hands go more often in the closing moments. Bivol continued to jab heavy in the second. Canelo was able to start landing a few to the body, before Bivol came back with a few punches of his own. The round was close and could have gone either way.

Both were taking turns throwing shots in the third. It was another close round, with Canelo throwing a lot of punches but not connecting with many of them. Bivol closed the round stronger. In the fourth, the action continued to be close. Canelo was throwing a lot, but not landing many of the punches. Bivol was still jabbing and blocking most incoming punches.

During the fifth, Canelo was trying to tag up Bivol, before the Russian boxer unloading with a variety of shots on Canelo against the ropes. At the start of the sixth, Bivol was unloading with hard combinations. Bivol was blocking Canelo's counters. Canelo started swinging away but connecting, before Bivol took back control. In the seventh, Bivol was still outboxing and outlanding Canelo as the action played out. In the eight, Bivol was controlling the action and connecting often on Canelo while backing him up.

Canelo came out swinging at the start of the ninth. Bivol was doing his boxing, before Canelo came out swinging over and over with punches, but not landing many of them.  In the tenth, Bivol was jabbing heavy and landing quick punches. Canelo's counters were being blocked. Canelo looked exhausted. 

In the eleventh, Canelo came out swinging a lot of punches, but he was unable to land. Bivol was letting his hands go and tagging Canelo up. During the twelfth, Bivol continued to outbox and outland Canelo, who was unable to get much of anything going.
