Former world champion Vicente "El Loco" Mosquera (33-2-1, 18 KOs) of Panama will have a new title shot on the 16th of November, when he challenges for the silver lightweight (135 pounds) championship of the World Boxing Council (WBC) in Colon, Panama. According to promoter and Panamanian attorney Rogelio Espiño, Mosquera will face Gilberto "Flaco" Gonzalez (22-3-0, 18 KOs). In his last fight in June, Mosquera beat up Cosme Rivera for an easy TKO win in Kissimmee, Florida. Gonzalez knocked out Saul Carreon on August 31 in Mexico.
