Turning Stone Resort & Casino, Verona, New York - In a fight for the NABO middleweight title, Brian Vera (22-6, 13KOs) stopped former junior middleweight champion Sergei Dzinziruk (37-2-1, 24KOs) in the tenth round.

Vera scores a flash knockdown in the first minute of the first round. During the final minute, Dzinziruk was dropped hard by a huge right hand. He managed to beat the count, but he took punishment from Vera until the bell.

Dznziruk was able to battle back in the middle rounds, but then Vera started pounding and pounding on the former junior middleweight champion. Dzinziruk was taking punishment in the eight round and seemed to be wearing down. He fought back at the end to get himself out of trouble when Vera began to tire.

Once again Dzinziruk continued to take punishment in the corner, this time in the tenth round, and he went down from the assault of punches. He made it up but he seemed to be hurt and that desire to continue wasn't there - promoting the referee to stop the fight.

Late replacement Jose Hernandez (14-6-1, 6KOs) shocked undefeated lighteweight prospect Tony Luis (15-1, 7KOs) with an eight round stoppage. A combination sent Luis down in the eight and then a  barrage of punches prompted Luis' corner to throw in the towel.
