North Bergen, NJ – On Friday night November 12th, Paterson New Jersey’s “Ghanaian Gladiator” Ossie Duran, 24-8-2, 9 KO’s will take on Matt “The Predator” Vanda, 43-11, 23 KO’s who fights out of Saint Paul, Minnesota. This 10- round junior lightweight bout will set the tone for a card featuring fighters who take great pride in the fact that they do not turn down fights and they come to fight 100% every time out. The “Rumble in the Park” will take place at Schuetzen Park in North Bergen, New Jersey.

The show is being promoted by Gulf Stream Group Promotions. The concept behind making this show a success is a simple common sense approach. Gulf Stream Group Promotions wants real fights on this show and did not seek out any fighters with padded records who are looking for easy wins on a local show in search of a payday.

On the contrary, they are stacking the card with fighters who come to win, but take fair fights where losing is a possibility. Warriors who fight whoever, wherever and give the fans their money’s worth every time out win, lose, or draw, fighters like Ossie Duran and Matt Vanda.

Duran has fought all over the world, often against world class opposition. He started fighting 10 and 12 round fights very soon after his professional career began. He has pulled off many big victories and the majority of his losses have come via close decisions in opponent’s back yards.

Vanda, who is very popular at home in Minnesota has also went on the road and always fought his heart out. He has also taken a lot of tough fights on the road with mixed results. He has also dropped several close decisions, most notably a razor thin split decision to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Mexico. The match up between Duran and Vanda should be very interesting and exciting.

Newark, New Jersey’s Super Middleweight, Jerson Ravelo, 20-5, 12 KO’s has not lost any of the hunger or desire that made him a national amateur star and 2000 Olympian. He is looking for redemption after taking his most recent fight on very short notice. In that fight against undefeated, Maxim Vlasov, 19-0, 10 KO’s on ESPN2 he was head butted early, sustained a bad cut and was eventually stopped. Since that fight Ravelo has trained with a vengeance and can not wait to get back in the ring on November 12th. His opponent is soon to be announced.

Rugged, Newark New Jersey Lightweight, Calos Vinan, 10-8-4, 2 KO’s is coming of the biggest win of his career. Vinan is another road warrior who doesn’t turn fights down. In his last fight he was brought in as an opponent and knocked out world ranked Anthony Mezaache, 18-6-3, 4 KO’s. Vinan is now ranked 14th in the world by the IBF. No matter who Vinan fights it is always a war. His opponent is soon to be announced.

International amateur stars and twin brothers, Scotty “Spade Ace” Burrell and Deano “Bad Newz” Burrell will be fighting in separate featherweight bouts. Opponents and further information are to be announced for their highly anticipated professional debuts.

There will be several exciting announcements regarding fighters who will be added to the scheduled 8-bout card as well as many invited boxing celebrities who will be in attendance. The after party will take place at local hot spot, 3 East Bar and Grill www.3eastbarandgrill.com.
