Multiple sources have advised BoxingScene.com that an interesting doubleheader is in the works for November 30th in Las Vegas at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino. The Top Rank promoted card could potentially become a tripleheader and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Former WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez (26-0) will make his super featherweight debut against rugged veteran Andres Gutierrez (38-2-1) who has been in the ring with former champions Abner Mares, Cristian Mijares and Tomas Rojas.

Valdez struggled to make the 126 pound featherweight title in his most recent fights. In total he defended his belt 6 times.  Gutierrez has won 3 fights in a row since losing to Mares in 2017.

In the co-feature bout, former two-division champion Carl Frampton was going to face former super bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe in a featherweight showdown - but Dogboe withdrew last week for undisclosed reasons.

Frampton (26-2) will be fighting for the first time since his loss to IBF featherweight champion Josh Warrington last December.  He was scheduled to return to the ring on August 10th against Emmanuel Dominguez but suffered a freak injury in the hotel lobby during fight week when a large ornament was accidentally knocked over and fractured his left hand on impact.

Dogboe (20-2), who may or may not fight until next year, was looking to restart his career in the featherweight division after suffering back-to-back losses to Emanuel Navarrete. He previously captured the WBO super bantamweight title in April, 2018 when he stopped Jessie Magdaleno.
