First former WBC champion Sebastian Zbik threatened Universum with legal action after not being paid for his recent loss against WBA super champ Felix Sturm.

Now, WBA "regular" super middleweight ruler Karoly Balzsay have join the club and told media in Hungary that he would take legal action against Universum for not being paid for the fight against Dimitri Sartison. Some sources even claim that Universum owes Balzsay money for the fight against Stas Kashtanov as well.

Universum spokesman, Steffen Soltau, disputes this and says that Balzsay has received part of the purse for the Sartison fight and that the rest will be paid once the litigation against former owner Klaus Peter Kohl is settled

However, the story doesn´t end there. It´s now a fact that former WBA heavyweight champ Ruslan Chagaev is a free agent and allboxing.ru writes that Ruslan will fight on the Felix Sturm vs Daniel Geale event on September 1.

Former WBO light heavyweight king Juergen Braehmer - mandatory challenger for the EBU title - is also a free agent.

Universum have claimed to have received sponsorship from Russia to go through with a major show in Moscow headlined by cruiserweight Rakhim Chahkhiev.

It appears that Universum´s future is depending on the litigation against Klaus Peter Kohl. If Universum gets the amount they claim that Kohl owes his former company, then all is well - for now, but it must be said the future doesn´t look too bright.
