Super-middleweight powerhouse Savannah Marshall will take on the determined, unbeaten Yanina Orozco in a 10 round intercontinental championship bout on the undercard of the ‘Fire & Fury’ event at the Arena Armeec in Sofia, Bulgaria on Saturday 27 October.

The 27-year-old Hartlepool native heads into the fight with a perfect 3-0 record and occupying seventh place in the women’s super-middleweight standings. Her Argentinian opponent also boasts an unbeaten record, although three places separate them in the division’s rankings with Orozco currently in 10th place.

With one unbeaten record sure to fall on the night, Savannah predicts a great fight for the fans.  Speaking about her opponent Savannah said: “This is a great match up for me and for the travelling fans. Like me, my opponent is unbeaten so I’m excited to get out there, give it all I’ve got and get the win. There’s a lot at stake.

“I’ve been in camp now for 14 weeks which has felt like a long time. But I’m looking forward to finally getting in the ring and showing what I’ve learnt in that time. All the training will be worth it.”

Savannah trains alongside event headliner Hughie Fury at the Team Fury gym in Bolton under the watchful eye of Hughie’s father and trainer Peter Fury.

“Peter has so much knowledge and I enjoy the way he approaches training us,” said Savannah. “The way we train is all about learning, progressing and constantly moving forward, which has filled me with confidence going into this fight.”

In the main event of the evening, IBF #2-rated heavyweight contender Kubrat “The Cobra” Pulev will face Britain’s IBF #3-rated Hughie Fury in a 12-round final elimination bout at the Arena Armeec in Pulev’s hometown of Sofia, Bulgaria. The winner of this bout will become the mandatory challenger for Anthony Joshua’s IBF heavyweight title.

Fans in the UK will be able to watch the fight live on free to air Channel 5.

BCB Promotions are delighted to announce the signing of Tommy Langford.

The Baggies Bomber has signed a management contract with BCB Promotions, who will work alongside trainer, Tom Chaney.

The former British Middleweight Champion will step up to super middleweight as he plots a course back to boxing’s big time in 2019.

Langford is no stranger to BCB having taken on Jason Welborn back in May for his British Middleweight Title. Despite losing by the narrowest of margins – a split decision – Langford earned plenty of plaudits with the fight winning the British Boxing Board of Control Fight of the Year.

Welborn and Langford did battle again in August with Welborn again taking a split decision after 12 epic rounds.

“I’m delighted to bring Tommy to BCB,” explained Johnson. “He had two absolute wars with Jason Welborn this year and showed, especially in that second fight, real heart and courage.

“He was a pleasure to deal with on both occasions and now he is stepping up in weight, we believe he can be a real force in the super middleweight division. Tom Chaney is an exceptional trainer and he and Tommy will work on their game with a view to having Tommy back out in early 2019.”

“I am happy to be signing with BCB and for Errol to be working alongside Tom Chaney to plot my course back to the top,” added Langford. “I have been aware of BCB for a long time and have always admired how they have been able to deliver opportunities for their fighters at all different levels.

“That makes me excited to see what this next chapter of my career can bring.

The move to super middleweight may come to some as a surprise to some because I’ve always kept my cards close to my chest; however those close to me know how restrictive this has been and how have had to burn off muscle from essential areas to make the middleweight limit.

“Now I have to rebuild and feel I would be best doing it at a weight where I can take my strength in to fights with me. I know I can perform at championship level at super middleweight and I’m looking forward to the journey ahead.”

Sunny Edwards believes he’s comfortably on top in the ongoing war of words with his WBO European super-flyweight title challenger Ryan Farrag.

The pair are engaged in a turbulent tete-a-tete both in the boxing press and on social media, with Farrag recently claiming Edwards has “embarrassed himself” with some of his comments.

Ahead of clashing at York Hall on October 26 – live on BoxNation - Edwards (8-0-KO3) said: “There’s been a lot said between me and Ryan now. It all stems from actual dislike.

“This isn’t faked in an attempt to build the fight. That’s already been made and speaks for itself.

“Everyone knows there’s only one person coming out on top in this because Ryan lacks wit. He hasn’t said much to me apart from picking out my teeth. Beyond that, he’s just obsessed with my brother!

“It’s been good and might have helped sell a few tickets. It’s been fun. I would have lost my mind a bit if he didn’t say anything to me so I’m glad he has. He starts it and I finish it again and again.

“In terms of the fight, I just believe I’m operating at a higher level than Farrag has ever been capable of boxing at and I feel like I’m going to show that on the night.”
