Unbeaten Kieron Conway plans on silencing some of the doubters when he fights Gabor Gorbics at the East of England Arena in Peterborough on Saturday.

Conway (9-0) heads into the fight on the back of a win over his MTK Global stablemate Gino Kanters in September, and he wants to put in a performance this weekend that puts the rest of the super-welterweight division on notice.

He said: “I’m excited to get back in the ring as it feels like forever since I’ve been in there.

"My last win in September was a good name on my record, but it wasn’t the best performance, so I’m going out to put that right and take some doubts out of everybody’s heads about me.

“The domestic scene at super-welterweight is one of the best in the country. It’s populated with high talent and I see myself as one of the top boys in there.

"I’ve got to keep winning and prove what I know through good performances over and over again.

“I don’t need to call people out, I’ll just take it one step at a time and when the time is right I’ll take them out one by one. I want to progress at a decent speed, but it needs to be the right way.

“At the end of 2019 I want to have some sort of belt around my waist, so hopefully something at either super-welterweight or middleweight can happen.”

Isaac Lowe plans on keeping the momentum going after being added to the packed MTK Global show at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester on March 15.

World-ranked featherweight Lowe (16-0-3) returns to action following his impressive win on the Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder undercard in Los Angeles in December, and he now wants to kick on and achieve good things in 2019.

Lowe said: “I’m over the moon to be getting back in the ring. It’s going to be a great start of the year and I’m glad to be keeping busy.

“I had the good win in America in December which got me the WBC International title and a top 15 ranking, and that means I need to push on and keep the momentum going.

“I’ll have a good eight round fight in Manchester, and then we’re looking at a big name later in the year. It’s time for me to put my head down and keep working hard towards world level.

“I’ve been training over at MTK Marbella and that has been great. You have got everything you need over there with some fantastic facilities, so I really enjoyed my four weeks out there. I’ll definitely be going back in the future for more camps.

“It’s been really good since teaming up with MTK, and they’re going worldwide. If they can do half as good a job with me as they have done with some of the other fighters, I’ll have a great career.”

Lowe’s fight will be part of a stacked MTK Global show live on iFL TV, with the main event seeing unbeaten David Oliver Joyce go up against Stephen Tiffney for the vacant WBO European featherweight title.

There are a number of exciting stars on the undercard too, including Ben Sheedy, Macaulay McGowan, Craig Bunn, Adam Hague, Damian Chambers and many more.

MTK Global is delighted to announce the signing of exciting featherweight talent Ross Cooksey as he looks to continue his unbeaten run in 2019.

Cooksey (6-0) has looked impressive in his career so far, winning all six of his fights in dominant fashion since making his debut in in 2017.

The Barrow-in-Furness star now joins his good friend Liam Conroy in joining MTK Global, and Cooksey is hoping to follow in his footsteps.

Cooksey said: “I’m really looking forward to working with MTK. I was quite inactive last year so it should hopefully now be a busy year and I’m excited to get back in there.

“I want to build on what I’ve achieved so far. MTK have been getting lots of their boxers into big fights and there are great opportunities with them. Liam Conroy is a good friend of mine and he’s always told me good things.

“MTK have done a great job with Liam and I’m sure they can do one with me too. Jono Carroll is another who a few years ago talked about maybe retiring, but then he teamed up with MTK and now he’s got a world title shot, so I’m delighted to be joining them.”

Promoter and trainer Johnney Roye added: “I am pleased to be working with Ross. He is a very dedicated and hard working young man. He has bags of potential, so let’s see where his journey leads.”

Undefeated Commonwealth flyweight champion Jay Harris believes he’s finally starting to get the opportunities he deserves after being made mandatory for the British flyweight title.

Welsh star Harris (14-0) is in line to fight for the belt that is currently held by Andrew Selby, and he’s glad to now be getting recognition for his ability.

Harris said: “I’m happy to be made mandatory for the British. I’ve worked really hard to get here after a few set backs, but it seems like it’s all falling into place.

“It shows that I’ve made progress and people are now starting to take notice of me. I’m finally getting the opportunities that I deserve.

“Andrew Selby is the champion but if he vacates it’s very understandable as to fight for world honours is a massive achievement, but if it does get made I think it’s a great fight between two of the best flyweights going.

“It would also be good for Welsh boxing as it shows there is a lot of opportunities coming my way, so we will see what comes of these exciting times.”

Up first for Harris is a fight in Cardiff on March 1, as he takes on Jaba Memishishi at the Vale Sports Arena.

It’s a packed bill in Wales, which also features Akeem Ennis Brown defending his IBF European super lightweight title against Bilal Rehman.

Jacob Robinson is in action against Jay Harris on the undercard, while the likes of Kieran Gething, Alex Hughes, Sultan Zaurbek and Nurtas Azhbenov are fighting too.

Exciting prospect Josh Adewale is promising a special performance when he returns to the ring next week for his second professional fight.

Adewale (1-0) competes at York Hall against Casey Blair on Febraury 22, and he’s looking to build on the impressive win he picked up in his debut against Liam Griffiths in November.

He said: “Now that the debut is out of the way I feel that I can get down to business. On my debut I looked at it differently and was doing things I didn’t need to do, but for this one I want to take care of it properly.

“I had a week or two off after my debut but then I was straight back into training and I was working hard the way through Christmas. I prefer to be busy so I can’t wait to get back in the ring.

“It’s going to be good to fight at York Hall. I meant to fight there as an amateur but didn’t get the decision I should have got, so I missed out on that chance.

"Most of the fights I’ve watched have been there, so I’m really looking forward to it.

“It’s been a good transition from amateur to professional. As an amateur I did a lot of stuff on my own and didn’t have must of a routine, but now things are structured and everything is good.

"I get an extra push from everybody around me, and I can’t wait to display my skills next week.”

Adewale is part of a packed bill at York Hall that will be shown live on iFL TV, and features a WBO European welterweight title fight between Paddy Gallagher and Freddy Kiwitt in the main event.

A number of talented stars are also in action on the undercard, including Dan Azeez, Danny Dignum, Siar Ozgul, Liam Wells, Jack Ewbank, Huzaifah Iqbal, Michael Elliott and many more.
