Hermosillo, Son - An experienced fighter from Sinaloa, Valentin "Picoco" Leon will be the opponent for the sensational knockout artist from Sonoran, Hernan "Tyson" Marquez, in the main event of the card called "Battles of the Bicentennial" to be held at the Center for Multiple Use (CMU) on September 24. The fight between Marquez (27-2, 21 KOs) and Leon (23-20-3, 17 KOs) is agreed to at ten  flyweight rounds and will be broadcast on Azteca America to the United States and the event is organized by Zanfer and Rama Promotions.

"Picoco" Leon of Culiacan, Sinaloa is a fierce fighter and has fought several world champions like Giovanni Segura, Eric Ortiz, Manuel Vargas, Julio Cesar Miranda and others. He fights from the right hand stance and likes to box and counter, while always in constant movement.

Marquez arrived yesterday from Hermosillo to Mexico City where he trained for six weeks with renowned coach Rudy Perez capital.

"I will be doing only exercises to ease in the days remaining for the weigh-in, the heat will benefit me to drop what I have left in weight for the division limit. I feel very strong and fast and I am very excited about fighting in a historic setting," Marquez said.

"Tyson" Marquez said he met his rival the "Picoco" Leon and their styles of combat should make for a great show.

"He's an experienced fighter, throws a lot of punches and that's what I like, to fight and show people what we got in the ring," Marquez added, that he returns to the flyweight division in search of a title. Tyson last fought in July in Pueto Rico, getting stopped by a much larger Doniare.
