Tyson Fury emphatically ended his trilogy against Deontay Wilder with a devastating 11th round TKO win.

The British boxer and WBC champion Fury (31-0-1, 22KOs) delivered a brutal beating and landed 150 punches on Wilder (42-2-1, 41KOs), three of which resulted in knockdowns in the third, tenth and eleventh rounds.

A beaten, bruised and bloodied Wilder immediately left the ring after the fight and was taken to the hospital for observation but did not stay overnight.

Wilder did not stick around for the traditional in-ring, post-fight TV interview either.

He also did not exchange any pleasantries with Fury after delivering the frontrunner for 2021 fight of the year.

“I went over to shake his hand and say ‘well done,’ and he was like ‘No, I don’t respect you,’” Fury revealed in his press conference at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. “I was like, ‘how can you say I cheated when you know in your own heart and your whole team knows it that you just got beat fair and square.

“He’s just a sore loser in boxing. I’m sure he’s not the first one, but he won’t be the last one. But I’ve acted like a gentleman throughout my whole career, and that’s all I can do as a man … I just hope he is OK. He took a lot of punishment. We will see what he can do in the future.”

Fury felt that the crunching right hook that forced Wilder to collapse to end the fight could have residual damage.

Wilder scored two knockdowns of Fury in the fourth but was down on all three scorecards and needed a knockout to win the fight. Wilder was behind 95-91, 95-92, 94-92 on the cards.

“I did my best, but it wasn’t good enough,” said Wilder. “I’m not sure what happened. I know that in training he did certain things, and I also knew that he didn’t come in at 277 to be a ballet dancer. He came to lean on me, try to rough me up and he succeeded.”
