Tyson Fury has confirmed to BoxingScene that he will return to the ring on December 1 2012, some five months after his fifth round stoppage victory over New Yorker Vinny Maddalone, against an as yet unnamed opponent.

The 24 year old unbeaten heavyweight, now 19-0 with 14 knockouts, who has looked in the best shape of his career in pictures posted on social networking site Twitter, took time out from his training camp revealing an up-to-date insight into his regime and continuing progress since the summer.

“I’ve been training hard — focussing on my weaknesses, my conditioning and my explosive power. I’m now a serious athlete and in exceptional shape. On fight night, I will be around 18 stone of ripped muscle and under nine percent in body fat. I’m 9.4% now (his total mass index a week before his last contest) and have seven-weeks left. My training has been intense, on time and regimented, right down to my food etc.”

As the doubts over Fury’s fitness begin to become a distant memory, it makes for the ever-increasing demand for a match up against David Price a mouth watering prospect. Price, as expected, had little trouble against Audley Harrison this past Saturday night - and it’s another step closer to what could be the biggest domestic bust up since George Groves took on James Degale in May 2011. And Price has Fury’s full backing.

“I’m hoping Price keeps winning cos’ I’m knocking him out,” said Fury.  “Let them keep talking, I’m gonna take him out.”

Recently, Fury has also been involved in trading jibes with former WBA Heavyweight champion David Haye, even calling out the “Hayemaker”, who again stated his preference to fight only a Klitschko.

“Haye’s another opponent I’d like to face right now,” confirmed Fury.  “But what’s the point of talking, he wants to marry the Klitschko’s.”

It is apparent that Team Fury has endured a frustrating few months in trying to secure a big name opponent for their charge. Fury, however, is hell bent on disposing whoever is put in front of him and talks an exciting 2013 where a world title shot will certainly happen.

“I’m not sure who I’ve got,” Tyson said of his next opponent.  “I’ve offered Adamek, Povetkin, Chagaev and Chambers, but all fell through. So I’m probably gonna get another bum of the month club to fill the show. Mick Hennessey gets me the fights and I will do the job. Listen up, I’m now ready for the world — 2013 is my year to storm the HW scene.

“I’m out on December first.  All the names I have mentioned should happen next year hopefully and by this time next year I’m going for a world title. Povetkin said recently he wanted to fight me in 2013 — great, I’m taking it!”

Away from boxing, many have felt the full brunt of Tyson Fury via his twitter account, with the Cheshire resident dishing out and in turn taking hoards of entertaining banter. The “Is it or isn’t it?” debate over whether or not it is actually Tyson himself can finally be laid to rest.

“Yes, it’s me on Twitter,” he revealed.  “I don’t mean the bad things to anyone. I’m giving them a taste of the abuse they give me.  Also, I am winding them up.  I really respect all fighters as I love my sport and we are all after the same goals — If they think my comments are personal then I apologise to every one. I’m actually a nice person and a god fearing man — I have no hate in me, unlike so many do against me, it seems.”

With a title shot looming ever closer, Fury is in tiptop condition and the happiest and enthused he has been in the sport he loves, which can only mean the heavyweight division could about to become very interesting next year. As ever, Fury is thankful to his faithful support.

He said: “I would like to thank (promoter) Mick Hennessey for believing in me and all my supporters, I love you!  Last but not least my uncle Peter (Peter Fury, Coach) who has changed my boxing career 100% for the better.”
