A huge card, pre-planned for April 25 at Dynamo Palace of Sports in Krylatskoye, Moscow, Russia, is being carefully loaded up by Andrey Ryabinskiy from “World of Boxing” promotional company and his local partners. The main event will see a much-anticipated rematch of 2013 candidate for FOTY award between reigning WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (25-2, 19 KOs) and Panamanian veteran and former champion Guillermo Jones (39-3-2, 31 KOs).

In a memorable war last May, Jones, then a “champion in recess”, overcame a huge start by Lebedev to grotesquely distort his face in one of the worst beatdowns, taken by a leading fighter, before stopping him in the eleventh round. Jones then tested positive for PEDs, Lebedev was re-installed as the WBA belt owner. However, the result of their first contest has not been reversed, further fueling an unfinished business between two bitter rivals.

It looks like the undercard would be able to match the main event. In its best part, WBA #4 lightweight banger Eduard Troyanovskiy (17-0, 14 KOs), who is riding a curious streak of five consecutive second-round stoppage wins, will reportedly try to upset reigning WBA lightweight champion Richard Abril (18-3-1, 8 KOs) of Cuba. Those two were firstly scheduled to collide in March, but that fight was later scratched and now is seemingly moved to the April date. Troyanovskiy is signed with “World of Boxing”, his manager being a well-known Russian boxing personality Vladimir Hryunov.

Another former champion will take part in the show, as ex-IBF super middleweight titleholder Alejandro “Naco” Berrio (34-6, 30 KOs) of Colombia will look to impose his frightening power onto inexperienced Russian light heavyweight Alexey Stakanchikov (3-1, 2 KOs).

In another Russia vs. Columbia showdown, local middleweight champion Arif Magomedov (10-0, 7 KOs) is said to be facing undefeated Alex Theran (16-0, 9 KOs) in what can also be a very interesting match-up.
