As BoxingScene.com had previously reported, we were advised by several strong Mexican sources that WBA "regular" junior middleweight champion Austin Trout (23-0, 13KOs) failed a post-fight drug test for last Saturday's fight with David "Destroyer" Lopez (40-13, 23KOs). Trout won a twelve round decision over Lopez in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

BoxingScene has obtained a copy of the post-fight test result, which shows Trout testing positive for marijuana.

BoxingScene has also obtained a copy of a second test, which Trout may have taken on Tuesday [going by the faded date]. The second test comes up negative for marijuana. No word on what the final ruling will be in Mexico. Lopez's promoter, Hector Garcia, has issued a letter to the WBA to sort the situation out.
