QUEBEC CITY – According to Loto-Québec, Artur Beterbiev (7-0, 7 KOs) is a nearly and eight to one favorite to win against former WBA light heavyweight champion, the Spaniard Gabriel Campillo (25-6-1, 12 KOs), in the semifinal bout of the card on April 4th at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City.

"Campillo is a complicated opponent, big, experienced and above all, a former world champion. In the United States, he has the reputation to be a prospect killer. He destroyed false prospects. It will give us the clues needed to find out where Artur is in his progression," said Beterbiev trainer Marc Ramsay.

"When you look at both guys record, one wonders what are they doing in the same ring because of the difference in experience! But Artur wanted to move forward quickly. Against Tavoris Cloud, it was a bull against a bulldozer. It is another task with a boxer that moves and box smartly. Campillo is ranked ninth in the world by The Ring Magazine," added promoter Yvon Michel.

The winner of that brawl will be ranked second in the world by the IBF and could fight for the IBF world heavyweight championship before 2016.
