Lightweight contender Tony Luis returns to action tonight against Giovanni Staffron.

The 10 round bout will take place at the Civic Complex in Luis’ hometown of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada.

Luis (24-3, 8 knockouts) will again fight before a partisan crowd when he steps inside the ring in Cornwall. Tonight will mark Luis’ third consecutive bout at the Civic Complex.

The 29-year-old Luis defeated previously-unbeaten Cam O’Donnell on June 17. Luis has won his last five bouts since his loss to Derry Mathews in April of 2015.

Luis is currently ranked number 12 by the WBA.

Straffron (14-2-1, 9 KOs) knocked out Maximiliano Galindo in the fifth round of his last bout on June 24. The victory came on the heels of a one-sided decision defeat to Vahe Sarukhanyan. The loss snapped a seven-bout winning streak for the fighter from Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico.

In the co-feature, unbeaten heavyweight Oleksandr Teslenko will face veteran Nick Guivas in an eight round bout.

Teslenko (10-0, 8 KOs), who is originally from the Ukraine and resides in Toronto, has stopped seven of his last eight opponents.

Guivas (14-8-2, 9 KOs), who resides in Topeka, Kansas, has lost five of his last seven bouts.

Welterweight prospect Jaron Ennis squares off against veteran Ayi Bruce tonight.

The six round bout will take place at the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, Virginia.

Ennis (15-0, 13 knockouts) is coming off a first round knockout victory over Lionel Jimenez in his last bout on Sept. 23 in Hammond, Indiana. The 20-year-old Ennis has stopped his last five opponents.

Ennis, who resides in Philadelphia, has maintained a busy schedule since turning pro on Apr. 30 of last year. Tonight’s fight will mark Ennis’ eighth in 2017.

If Ennis comes out victorious, word is he could fight once more before the end of 2017.

In his last bout on Mar. 18, Bruce (23-14, 15 KOs) was stopped by Gary Vendetti in the second round. The Albany, N.Y. resident has lost his last five bouts.

Unbeaten junior middleweight Zsolt Daranyi Jr. will face Fabian Lyimo in a six round bout.

The hard-hitting Daranyi (12-0, 11 KOs) stopped veteran Andre Baker in the sixth and final round on July 29.

Lyimo (23-7-2, 15 KOs), who resides in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, has lost only once in his last eight bouts.

Six more fights will round out the Victory Promotions.
