Las Vegas, Nevada - On Friday September 30, 2016 Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions and Neon Star Media returns for the second fight card for the fall edition of “Knock Out Night at the D.” Broadcasting on CBS Sports Network at the Downtown Las Vegas Event Center presented by the D Casino and Hotel.

After kicking off the fall edition on Friday September 9, 2016, Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions comes back just three weeks later with another installment of what is quickly becoming one of the most popular and exciting series in boxing.

Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions bantamweight sensation Tony Lopez 11-1 (5KO) from Ft. Worth Texas will take on undefeated Stephon Young 14-0-3 (6KO) from St. Louis MI., in a 10rd bout for the vacant WBA-NABA Bantamweight Championship.

Tony Lopez is a former WBC Youth Champion and amateur standout. After compiling an amateur record of 68-3, Lopez turned pro in 2012. He won his first ten fights in a row before losing a very controversial and disputed decision to Oscar Cantu 14-0 (1KO) on November 6, 2014. Oscar Cantu is now the WBC #4 world ranked contender.

Tony returned on May 21, 2016 in Las Vegas and scored a “KO of the Year” candidate win over previously undefeated Jerren Cochran 11-0 (4KO) in the second round of their 8rd bout.

Tony Lopez is set to face his forth undefeated prospect in a row when he takes on the equally talented, Stephon Young from St. Louis, Missouri. Stephon is another fighter who has experienced his own share of controversy in two of his last three bouts. On June 20, 2015 Stephon fought on the undercard of Andre Ward vs. Paul Smith in Oakland, California.  Here Stephon Young would take on the now current undefeated WBO-NABO Bantamweight Champion Antonio Nieves 16-0-2 (8KO). Stephon would wobble Antonio early and seem to have done enough to capture the verdict but had to settle for a controversial SD draw.

On April 15, 2016, he would face a similar fate. Stephon made his debut on ShoBox against undefeated Russian Bantamweight, Nikolay Potapov 14-0 (6KO) for the WBA-NABA Bantamweight Championship in Verona, NY. While many observers felt Stephon earned the decision, judges scored it a MD10 draw leaving the title vacant.

“I only want to fight the best” states Lopez, a proud Texan. “I don’t see anybody in front of me, I don’t see anybody beating me. I got all the tools necessary to take anybody out… When they start too slow down, I start to step on the gas”

On September 30th, 2016 in Las Vegas two of the best American bantamweight prospects will collide for an opportunity to answer the question of “Who is the best bantamweight in the nation?”

Lopez vs. Young for the vacant WBA-NABA Championship will air live on CBSSN. TV bouts start at 8pm PT/11pm ET.  Tickets are on sale now at tickermaster.com and at the Downtown Las Vegas Event Center (DLVEC) box-office. Tickets start at $14.99
