Zanfer Promotions was forced to cancel Saturday's card in Tijuana, after the opponent for former world champion Tomas "Gusano" Rojas withdrew with an injury. Dominican boxer Manuel Gonzalez withdrew from the contest and Zanfer found it impossible to find a suitable replacement on three days notice, so they canceled the card.

Guillermo Brito, Chief Operating of Zanfer, apologized to fans for the suspension of this huge card which would have featured Joselyn Arroyo going for the WBA flyweight title against Maria Suarez.

"We regret having to bring this news, but unfortunately Manuel Gonzalez suffered an injury to his right hand and can not fight the Rojas," said Brito.
