Undefeated junior middleweight star Tim Tszyu is pressing to secure the opportunity of a world title shot in 2021.

On March 31, Tszyu will face one of his toughest career opponents when he faces former world title challenger Dennis Hogan.

Many feel Hogan should have captured a world title when he suffered a controversial twelve round decision loss to then WBO champion Jaime Munguia in 2019.

Tszyu to overwhelm Hogan in the same manner that he did former world champion Jeff Horn two years ago.

“I’m only 26, I still haven’t reached my peak. I’ve got another 50, 60, 70 percent more to improve on. That’s dangerous for people in my weight division,” Tszyu said to WA Today.

“Each fight I’ll be bigger, stronger, better. This camp I can really feel it. You’re going to see another improved Tim Tszyu.”

Tszyu is really targeting WBO junior middleweight champion Brian Castano.

If Castano ends up fighting PBC stablemate Jermell Charlo, who holds the WBA, IBF, WBC titles, Tszyu could end up fighting the winner for the undisputed crown in his first title fight.

To get there, he may have to fight his way to a mandatory position.

“That’s pretty insane, isn’t it,” Tszyu said. “I need to get myself a mandatory and get myself into that position. When we do fight at that level and for those belts, I’m 100 percent certain I’ll be ready.”

Castano and Charlo would be favorites in a clash with Tszyu.

But the unbeaten boxer believes he's being overlooked in the same manner as his Hall of Fame father, Kostya Tszyu.

“They feared him as well. He was the most-avoided fighter in the division. Oscar De La Hoya ran away from him, (Floyd) Mayweather was running, they all avoided him,” said Tszyu.

“They were very biased. Look what happened [when he fought Zab Judah and others].”
