MGM Grand, Las Vegas - WBA interim-welterweight champion Keith "One Time" Thurman (24-0, 21KOs) was more of a boxer than a slugger, as he went the full twelve round distance in winning a tough unanimous decision over previously undefeated Italian Olympian Leonard Bundu (31-1-2, 11KOs). All three judges had it 120-107.

Moments into the first round, Bundu jumped forward and got dropped from a combination as he came in. He seemed to be fine once he got to his feet and continued to press forward on Thurman. The action was becoming more of a chess match until Thurman tried to heat things up at the end of the fourth with Bundu fighting back.

There continued to be highs and lows in the action as the fight continued. Thurman was fighting at a measured pace, targeting the body to keep Bundu more stationary. Bundu was starting to let his hands go in the eight, trying to get Thurman to trade at close range. Thurman - who had some damage around his right eye - stuck to his jab, moving and being very, very selective with his punches.
