ORANGE, CA -  Thompson Boxing Promotions is proud to announce the signing of flyweight rising star Sergio “The San Diego Sensation” Espinoza to a promotional contract.

The 29-year-old ESPINOZA (14-3-1, 5 KO’s), who is the only boxer in the history of San Diego County to have won four major national amateur boxing titles that include Junior National Championship, the National PAL Boxing Championship (twice), the National Golden Glove Championship and the USA National Championship will make his Thompson Boxing Promotions debut tomorrow when he laces up his gloves to battle out Mexico’s Luis MALDONADO (36-1-1, 28 KO’s) in a 12-round IBF flyweight title elimination bout on the undercard of the much anticipated ShoBox televised event taking place at Omega International in the city of Corona.

Espinoza, who in his last fight lost by a split decision to Benjaim Garcia on Thompson Boxing Promotions "PATH to GLORY" series remains steadfast in his plans to redeem himself tomorrow evening in front of his new promoter.
