Thomas Hart will be back in the ring next month.

The 24-year-old former Rotunda ABC amateur made a successful start to his campaign in the paid code back in March and will look to build on it in the capital.

Hart, a former England and Team GB man who was planning on staying in the amateur game until the Tokyo Games in 2020, trains with Joe McNally and Declan O’Rourke and campaigns in the light-heavyweight division.

The former English national titlist outpointed Poland’s Przemyslaw Binienda over four rounds at the M&S Bank Arena in his home city, exclusively live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN Stateside, as part of the supporting cast to Liam Smith’s stoppage win against Sam Eggington.

And he will hope to secure a second win as a pro on the same platforms on June 21 at York Hall in Bethnal Green in London on a card topped by Ted Cheeseman.

‘The Big Cheese’ will box on a JDNXTGEN bill and a win for Cheeseman will line-up another defence of his Lonsdale belt against current WBA International champion at the weight Scott Fitzgerald.

‘Fitzy’, fresh from his triumph over his fellow Commonwealth Games gold medallist and former Team GB team-mate Anthony Fowler back in March at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena, will return on July 6 at Manchester Arena against former British super-welterweight champion Brian Rose, who was back in action with a win in Liverpool last month, before potentially taking on Cheeseman towards the back end of the year.

Craig Richards will face Andre Sterling on the card at York Hall, while it is expected that Shannon Courtenay, Charles Frankham – who will debut on Friday at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham – and Commonwealth middleweight champion Felix Cash will also feature among others.
