Victor "El Vikingo" Terrazas (36-2-1, 21KOs) has been notified that his all-Mexican clash with former multi-division champion Cristian Mijares (47-6-2, 22KOs), for the vacant WBC super bantamweight title, will take place on April 20th in Mexico. Mijares is unbeaten since 2009 and won his last eleven fights. Abner Mares recently vacated the title and plans to pursue a belt in the featherweight division. Terrazas is the mandatory challenger to the WBC crown and Mijares is the top contender. Both Terrazas and Mijares are promoted by Zanfer Promotions.

"I am excited because soon will I will go for the title of the world. I will go through a great moment in my career and it will be reflected that night. I fought hard for this opportunity. In a fight with Cristian Mijares, I will go for the knockout. We must go in there well prepared to beat him. The quality is unrivaled, and he was the world champion and has a lot of experience, but I want to be champion and nobody will stop me from reaching my goal."
