Moscow, Russia - In the main event of the last boxing event of 2020 in Moscow, Russia, Evgeny Terentiev (17-3, 8 KOs) got a convincing ten round unanimous decision over 43-year old Ukrainian veteran fighter Victor Plotnikov (33-10, 15 KOs) to acquire a vacant WBA Asia junior middleweight title.

No scores were announced. Shamo Boxing promoted this night of boxing.

Terentiev was in full control of the fight, giving Plotnikov no room to spare. Unfortunately, very muscular and powerfully built Russian fighter was unable to transform his strength and brute force into something meaningful.

He often loaded up with big potent shots but either missed them or lacked finesse to land cleanly. Plotnikov was concentrated solely on survival, and he was very solid in putting himself out of danger. However, he was also able to land some jabs and to frustrate Terentiev eben though he couldn't win any rounds.

Terentiev, on the other hand, did have some crucial success in several rounds. He dropped Plotnikov briefly in the third, forced a point deduction for excessive holding produced by his opponent in the sixth, and once again dropped the game Ukrainian in the ninth round. Yet he was unable to finish off his foe. Plotnikov has suffered his seventh consecutive loss.
