Arlington, Texas - Terence Crawford (26-0, 18KOs) became a two-division world champion with a sixth round knockout of Thomas Dulorme (22-2, 14KOs) to capture the vacant WBO junior welterweight championship. The belt became vacant last November after the sanctioning body stripped Chris Algieri for moving up in weight to challenge Manny Pacquiao for his WBO welterweight title.

Crawford closed the show in the sixth, hurting Dulorme with a two punch combination and then scoring three knockdowns before the fight was waved off. The official time of the stoppage was 1:51 of the sixth round.

"I feel very strong at this weight. I really worked hard in camp. In the ring I worked on my timing of Dulorme and when I got a big shot on him he was hurt bad. That's when I really jumped on him. Dulorme was tough but Gamboa was really tough the night we fought. Tonight I got a good rhythm going and got a world title - what a night," Crawford said.

Promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank said to Crawford in the ring - "This is why you are the Fighter of the Year!!!"
