Chinese heavyweight prospect Zhilel Zhang kept his unbeaten record intact in the DAZN main card opener, halting Detroit’s Craig Lewis in two rounds.

After a slow first round, Zhang dropped Lewis, who had never been stopped before, and while “The Beast” rose, his legs were gone, and Zhang went on the attack. Another knockdown followed, and as he rose, the corner had seen enough, with referee Shada Murdaugh waving the bout off at 2:10 of the second stanza.

Zhang moves to 23-0-1 with 18 KOs. Lewis falls to 14-5-1, 8 KOs.

2020 Olympian Ramla Ali remained unbeaten as a pro in super bantamweight action as she shut out Isela Vera over four rounds.

Scores were 40-36 across the board for Somalia’s Ali, now 4-0. Vera falls to 1-1.

The shorter Vera tried to make it ugly as soon as the bell rang, and while she had some positive moments, Ali was largely unbothered by her foe’s wild rushes, and when she got her room to punch and use her height and reach advantage, it was clear who the better boxer was. And with the crowd occasionally breaking out in chants of “Ali, Ali,” it was the boost she needed to sail to a comfortable victory on the scorecards,

Ten-time New York Golden Gloves champion Christina Cruz kept her hometown fans happy as she notched her second pro win via six-round unanimous decision over Maryguenn Vellinga in a flyweight bout.

At ease in the same ring where she won so many previous bouts as an amateur, Cruz picked her shots - particularly an overhand right - at her leisure, unconcerned with any incoming fire from Utah’s Vellinga, who was game but outgunned by the New Yorker. Vellinga did make the occasional surge, but without the ability to hurt or deter Cruz, it was a lost cause as Cruz moved to 2-0 via scores of 60-54, 60-54 and 59-55. Vellinga falls to 3-2-2, 2 KOs.
