Sal Musumeci's Final Forum Fight Card last weekend at the Arena at Harbor Yard, Bridgeport CT, had everything a boxing fan could ask for, in addition to an exciting under card in which pro debut Noel Garcia earned a draw against veteran Jason Jordan, Luis Delvalle 3-0 beat the always tough and exciting Francisco Palacios.

The co-feature was an all out war in a slugfest between Tony Grano and Mark “Oak Tree” Brown that had fans on the edge of their seats. Both fighters with great records showed the crowd that there are still men stepping into the ring with the courage to fight another fighter with a great record, and it doesn't need to be for a world title.

Grano, who knocked down Brown twice in the early rounds was ahead on points by the 8th and final round, but the ever persistent Brown turned up the pressure on Grano prompting referee Arthur Mercante Jr. to step in and put a halt to the fight.  It was later learned that Grano had a virus earlier in the week but decided not to pull out of the fight.

In the main event the  "favorite son" as a hometown paper referred to him, Tarvis Simms showed the skills of a textbook boxer as he schooled the aggressively tough and determined Delray Raines.

“I'm ready to take on top ten contenders, its time to turn up the heat in this division, I'll take Pavlik, Duddy  or any of the top fighters, I work hard, I train hard and now it's time to put all of that to the test.”- Tarvis Simms

By the end of the evening nearly 2000 fans were on their feet applauding this great event presented by the rapidly growing boxing promotional company of Final Forum.
