The full lineup is set for the inaugural event of Most Valuable Promotions’ prospect-based series.

As previously reported, unbeaten lightweight Ashton Sylve—among the first MVP signees—will face Angel Rebollar (6-2, 3KOs) in a scheduled eight-round bout atop a May 26 DAZN show from Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. MVP revealed the full supporting cast on Monday, including fast-rising junior welterweight Kevin Hayler Brown (2-0, 2KOs), who faces Julian Smith in a ten-round regional title fight.

“We’re thrilled to finally bring fans a series that highlights the future of boxing,” MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian said in a joint statement provided to BoxingScene.com. “Our inaugural event is sure to deliver a night full of high energy matchups and we are incredibly thankful to our broadcast talent for joining us on Friday, May 26th. Ashton Sylve, is just 19 and has been a star since we first signed him to MVP last year.

The event is the first of a planned four-fight series that will place a strong emphasis on rising prospects. MVP partnered up with local promotional outfit BoxLab Promotions, whose boxers will also be featured on the series from its luxury resort.

“On behalf of the Caribe Royale Resort we’re excited to bring this new series to Orlando,” said Amaury Piedra, CEO of BoxLab and managing director of Caribe Royale Resort. “Caribe Royale is the premier all-suite resort in Orlando and this is another way of bringing entertainment via world class boxing featuring the future of boxing to the guests of the resort and locals as well.

“Between the combined teams and talent of MVP and BoxLab Promotions we expect this event to just be the first of what will be an exciting series for years to come.”

Brown was a former amateur standout before defecting from the Cuban National team to turn pro. He now lives and trains in Las Vegas under the guidance of Bob Santos, a 2022 BWAA Trainer of the Year nominee, along with manager Shane Shapiro. This will mark his third appearance at Caribe Royale in as many pro fights and is already being fast tracked towards contention.

His opponent comes with his own dreams and inspiration. Smith (6-1, 4 KOs)—who hails from the Chicago suburb of Country Club Hills, Illinois—is a deaf boxer who has been thrown in tough as a pro. A Chicago Golden Gloves champion, as an amateur, Smith will face his third consecutive undefeated opponent.

Also on the DAZN portion of the show:

Lorenzo "Giant Killer" Medina (6-0, 6 KOs)—an 18-year-old from Hialeah, Florida, and Andrey Mangushev (7-0, 5 KOs)—a Miami-based boxer by way of Moscow—meet in a six-round battle of unbeaten heavyweights;.

Two-time national amateur champion Jamar Pemberton (4-0, 4 KOs), from Las Vegas by way of St. Louis, MO—a stablemate of interim WBC junior middleweight titlist Brian Mendoza—will face an opponent to be named in a four-round super middleweight bout to open the telecast.

The non-televised undercard will carry five bouts featuring—in separate outings—Tayree Jones (9-0, 6 KOs), Ramiro De Jesus (3-0, 2 KOs), Omar DeJesus (2-0, 2 KOs), Antraveous Ingram (4-0 2KOs) and Giovanni Louis who makes his pro debut.

‘We look forward to watching as he spearheads this new series alongside so many other young fighters,” noted Paul and Bidarian, both of whom will be ringside along with MVP-guided seven-division and reigning undisputed featherweight champion Amanda Serrano (44-2-1, 30KOs).
