IBO light heavyweight champion Sven Fornling (15-1) from Malmoe, Sweden, defends the title on November 16 in Halle an der Saale (Germany) against Dominic Boesel (29-1).

Fornling won the title in December of last year when he beat Karo Murat in what was a big upset. He was then all set fight IBF world champion Artur Beterbiev in May but suffered a stress fracture and have been in rehab training for months but is now fully recovered.

Boesel holds the EBU title but is likely to relinquish it which paves the way for Fornling´s stablemate at EC, Igor Mikhalkin, the current mandatory challenger for Boesel, to go for the EBU crown. Mikhalkin is also IBO interim champ.

Fornling vs Boesel is not officially confirmed by SES, who promotes Boesel, or EC Boxing but Fornling´s management have announced it in a press release in both Swedish and English.

Danish super lightweight Enock Mwandila Poulsen (11-0) has been named mandatory challenger for EBU champ Sandor Martin (35-2). Poulsen will thus relinquish the EU title he won in June.

Martin, from Spain, is in his second reign as EBU ruler and regained the title in July by stopping Andrea Scarpa.

Poulsen is currently in rehab training after a knee injury so when and where is still open but one imagine that Danish Fight Night Promotion headed by Mogens Palle is very interested in getting the fight to Denmark.
