Steven Butler would like to contend for a world title belt in 2019. After notching an impressive win in his last fight, the middleweight contender cannot afford to overlook anyone on his way to achieving that goal.

That includes tonight's opponent, who is unbeaten, but untested.

Butler will face Jordan Balmir in a 10 round bout at the Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Canada.

Butler stopped former contender and gatekeeper Carson Jones in round seven of his last bout on June 23 in his hometown of Montreal. Butler has won his last six bouts since his seventh round knockout loss to Brandon Cook on Jan. 28 of last year.

The 23-year-old Butler is ranked number six by the WBO and an impressive victory could lead to more opportunities to fight in the United States.

A loss to Balmir (10-0, 6 KOs) is not out of the question, but tonight's clash is a fight Butler is expected to win.

Balmir will fight in his first scheduled 10 round bout. In his last bout on July 20, Balmir knocked out Vito Vendetta in the second round.

In the main event, hard-hitting heavyweight Simon Kean will square off against Dillon Carman in a 12 round bout. A regional title belt will be on the line.

Junior welterweight prospect Batyrshan Jukembayev will face his toughest opponent to date on paper when he faces Patricio Moreno (20-2, 12 KOs) of Mexico in a 10 round bout.

Jukembayev (13-0 2 NCs, 11 KOs) is originally from Kazakhstan and now resides in the Montreal area.

Seven more fight will round out the Eye of the Tiger Management card.
