Jesus Soto-Karass lost a split decision to undefeated welterweight prospect Mike Jones last November in the co-featured bout on the Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito pay per view event.

It was a close fight in which Jones almost put Soto-Karass away in the 2nd round.  Soto-Karass came on strong later in the fight as he often does. Jones didn't ever appear to fully regain his legs after the 2nd round.

The two fighters will get it on again in as the co-feature to Fernando Montiel versus Nonito Donaire.  Both fights will be televised by HBO.

An ultra confident Soto-Karass told BoxingScene that in this rematch he doesn't intend to leave the decision in the judges hands.  He is going to make sure he gets the victory.  "I am going to knock him out this time around. I am going to finish this time what I should have finished last time."

Soto-Karass said that he is still going to take his time in the early rounds as he always does but he had a warning for Jones. "This will be a different Jesus Soto-Karass. I hope he trained hard. This time I am going to knock him out!"
