The former trainer of Polish heavyweight Albert Sosnowski, Ukrainian Lubomir Palamar, made his forecast on the outcome of the upcoming bout with Vitali Klitschko in an exclusive interview to BoxingScene.com. Sosnowski will challenge Klitschko for the WBC heavyweight title on May 29.

“I began to work with Sosnowski in 2001”, - told Palamar to BoxingScene. – “Right after Sosnowski had lost by knockout to Canadian Arthur Cook. In that bout Sosnowski wasn’t at his best, to put it mildly. He had a lot of technical mistakes, even his punch was set all wrong. Besides he simply wasn’t able to box with southpaws. However Albert was a quick learner – he caught on very fast. Physically he was already strong then, for example he could lift 140 kilos – the result of his trainings with famous Polish strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski. But he had to work on his technique. In his next rating fight Albert was much more convincing and progressed with each bout”.

Still the trainer doesn’t believe in the victory of Sosnowski over Vitali Klitschko. “All the trump cards – size, power, reach, champion’s experience – are in Vitali’s hands”, - says Palamar. – "Now there’s no one better in the heavyweight division than the Klitschko brothers. I watched their recent bouts and was astonished by the fact that they keep on improving, despite their age! So Albert doesn’t really stand a chance. It’s too early for him to face Klitschko. When I worked with Sosnowski, I thought that he would be ready for a championship fight in 2011. But the boxing is beautiful because it’s so unpredictable. So I’ll watch this bout with interest”.
