Another fight, another win for Shinard Bunch.

The hard-hitting Bunch won a hard-fought unanimous decision over gatekeeper Cameron Krael Saturday night at the Sportsplex in Feasterville, Pennsylvania.

Scores were 79-73, 78-74, and 77-75 for Bunch, who improves to 14-1 1 NC, 12 knockouts.

Saturday night marked the fourth fight of this year for Bunch, who resides in Trenton, New Jersey. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 21-year-old was able to fight five times in 2020.

Krael was a significant step-up in opposition for Bunch. Despite being knocked out by unbeaten prospect Elvis Rodriguez on October 9, the 27-year-old has faced several contenders and prospects with mixed results, including recent victories over Jose Miguel Borrego and Maurice Lee.

From the opening bell, Bunch, who fought as a junior welterweight after fighting at 147 pounds over his last several fights, was assertive, taking initiative and looking to put Kreal on the defensive. Kreal was able to work from distance behind a consistent jab in an attempt to counter Kreal.

There was a good ebb and flow between the two fighters throughout the bout. Bunch was busier and connected more with his punches. While some rounds were close, Bunch seemed to accumulate points during the second half of the fight.

Bunch could return to the ring next month on a fight card in Vero Beach, Florida.

Kreal, who resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, drops to 17-18-3, 4 KOs. He has lost five of his last six bouts.

Lightweight Nahir Albright notched another victory by stopping William Parra Smith of Anchorage, Alaska.

Albright, who resides in nearby Sicklerville, New Jersey, dropped Parra in round 2. After Parra beat the count, Albright went on the attack, throwing and landing a barrage of punches that promoted referee Eric Dali to stop the bout at 1:51.

In junior lightweight action, Rashiem Jefferson (5-0, 1 KO) of Philadelphia stopped Darel Harris at 1:56 of round 2. Harris, who resides in Sarasota, Florida, drops to 3-20-2, 1 KO.

Bantamweight Edgar Joe Cortes improved to 7-6-1, 1 KO by stopping Michael Stoute (3-3-1) of Long Island, New York in round 5. Cortes, who resides in Millville, New Jersey, dropped Stoute twice in the round before referee Eric Dali stopped the bout at 1:21.

Junior lightweight Nasir Mickens of Philadelphia dropped Nathan Benichou (2-3, 2 KOs) once en route to a unanimous decision victory. Scores 38-36, 39-35, and 37-36 for Mickens, who improves to 2-0, 1 KO. Benichou was deducted two points during the fight due to spitting out his mouthpiece.

RDR Promotions promoted Saturday’s card. Their next promotion will take place on April 3 at the same venue.
